COURSE STRUCTURE AND SUBJECTS
The Sunway University Online Master of Management is designed to cultivate influential, Digital Age-ready management experts who lead with empathy and foresight through exemplary interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a desire to produce quality results.
You will complete 8 core subjects and 2 research project subjects. Study just 1 subject at a time in 7-week blocks for optimum learning outcomes while maintaining a healthy work-life-study balance.
Students with a non-related bachelor’s degree and without relevant work experience have the opportunity to enrol in the online Master of Management upon the completion of the Fundamental Business Studies prerequisite subject, which can be completed within 7 weeks.
This non-credit bridging subject covers 5 key topics as per MQA programme standards – Managing People, Managing Financial Resources, Understanding Customers and Marketing Concepts, Strategic Planning, and Understanding the Business Environment – and tests students’ ability to study online independently.
Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Access (APEL.A) T-7 is catered to individuals with work experience who want to pursue a master’s qualification, but do not possess a bachelor’s degree.
APEL.A evaluates the experiential learning gained from formal, informal, and non-formal learning to determine an individual’s readiness to join a programme of study – transforming your job experience into an official qualification for entry. Details on APEL.A can be found here.

A bachelor’s degree in the field or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent qualifications as accepted by the HEP Senate.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in the field or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting 2.50 can be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
OR
The completion of a prerequisite subject specified by the University for those with a bachelor’s degree in a non-related discipline (minimum CGPA of 2.00) as accepted by the HEP Senate, and without the relevant work experience.
OR
An APEL.A Certification (T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).
Applicants whose academic qualifications were not attained in the English medium will be required to provide evidence of language ability via an IELTS result (minimum score of 6.0).
