Senior Lecturer, Department of Computing and Information Systems

Dr Low Yeh Ching is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing and Information Systems, and an active academic researcher in the field of applied and computational statistics. She holds a PhD in Applied and Computational Statistics, University of Malaya, an MSc in Statistics, University of Malaya, and a BSc in Statistics, University of Malaya.

She has published in a number of international journals and publications, including Telematics and Informatics  and Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, and has presented papers at international conferences on a range of data science topics. She was awarded an Excellent Paper Award at the 2nd International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Statistics in 2016 for a co-authored paper.

Dr Low is also a member of professional associations, namely the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE, International Statistical Institute, and the Malaysia Institute of Statistics. Her research interests include statistical modelling and distribution theory, computational statistics, statistical methods in data science and statistics education.
