Senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Sunway University Business School

For the past ten years, he has been facilitating and leading undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the areas of auditing, accounting, finance and sustainability. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) with over 30 years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, banking and finance. His experience includes seven years in a big five accounting firm, 13 years as the Head of Finance and Treasury in a financial institution, six years as the Chief Financial Officer of the national automotive group and four years as Executive Director – Finance in a water infrastructure and services group. He has led projects in corporate restructuring, fund raising, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and credit recovery.

Tan Seng Lee has joined academia to further his passion to teach and empower the next generation of accounting and finance leaders. As a member (co-opted) of the Education and Training Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he takes an active role in shaping accounting education.
