Department of Management, Senior Lecturer; Online MBA Programme Lead

Dr. Arsalan Zahid Piprani is a Senior Lecturer at Sunway Business School. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in academia and business. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Major: Supply Chain Risk Management) from the Faculty of Business and Economics (AACSB and AMBA accredited), University of Malaya, and an MBA in Industrial Management from the Institute of Business Management, Karachi. His other credentials include Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Quality Professional (CQP), and Lead Auditor of ISO 9001.

Dr. Arsalan has extensive teaching expertise and has taught specialised supply chain courses at a variety of business schools. He has also contributed to the development of programmes for academic institutions and professional associations that cater to current and aspiring supply chain professionals. In addition, he is an avid researcher. His research interests include Supply Chain Risk Management, Supply Chain Resilience, Data Analytics in Supply Chain, Green Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Business Performance, and Technological Innovations in Supply Chain.

As part of global research partnerships, he worked on research that contributed to the construction of a resilient and viable supply chain, with the goal of mitigating the detrimental effects of supply chain risks. He engaged with University of Malaya on two public-private partnership initiatives related to the Consumer Sentiment Index and Green Supply Chain Programme. He has published his research findings in journals that are included in the SCI, SSCI, and ABDC databases, such as IEEE Access, Operations Management Research, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Benchmarking, Cogent Business and Management, and others.

Currently, he is a member of the Supply Chain Association of Pakistan (SCAP), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation Pakistan, and Chartered Institute of Management (CIM).
